Discreet activation

Real-time location

Your GPS location is shared with operators and responders the moment dispatch happens. They know where you are without you having to describe it.

10-second cancel window

After pressing, you have ten seconds to cancel with your PIN — for accidental presses. After that, dispatch is live and operators are on the line.

Text-based communication

When voice isn't safe, operators can communicate with you over text. Status updates, instructions, and confirmation of help arrival without sound.

Profile sharing

Medical conditions, emergency contacts, and other relevant profile details are automatically shared with first responders when dispatch goes out.

Safety Button Notes

Pre-event notes ("meeting at 123 Main, buyer's name is John, vehicle plate XYZ") can be recorded for the operator to share with responders if you press the button.

What if I press the button by accident?

You have ten seconds to cancel with your PIN before dispatch goes live. The window is long enough to catch accidents but short enough to dispatch fast when needed.

Does it work without an existing alarm system?

Yes. Safety Button is a standalone service built on the Alarm.com app. You don't need an installed alarm system at your home or office to use it.

Who answers when I press it?
